Warehouse Supervisor (3rd Shift)

Role Summary

Looking for a Warehouse Supervisor who exemplifies positive team leadership and has a strong focus on warehouse processes. Preferred candidate will also have knowledge of safety practices, inventory control, and quality processes within a warehouse setting. 

This is an on-site position based at our location in Gastonia, NC. 

This position is for 3rd Shift (6:30 PM - 5:00 AM, Monday -Thursday nights (4 Nights x 10 hours)

Main Tasks

- Onboarding, training, and development of Warehouse employees

- Enforce policies and procedures

-Lead material handlers in proper warehouse standards focused on safety, productivity, quality, and customer service

-Resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements

-Ensure accurate, efficient, and safe movement of inventory

-Maintain storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements

-Ensure proper equipment operating practices are followed by material handlers by adhering to operating instructions, following preventive maintenance guidelines, and calling for repairs as needed

-Train employees on use of warehouse management system (AS400)

- Maintain inventory accuracy

- Lead 1-on-1 communications with employees, as well as conduct group setting meetings with employees

- Ensure safe operations practices and lead 5S housekeeping initiatives

- Manage time and attendance of hourly and temporary employees

 

Your Profile

Education:

- High School Diploma, or GED

Experience:

- 5+ years minimum warehouse operations experience

- 2 years minimum distribution/logistics supervisor experience

Required Skills:

- Good technical knowledge of a WMS system

- Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

- Must be able to lift products/packages up to and including 50 pounds

- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience & Skills:

- AS400 experience

- Time keeping software experience

- SAP experience

- Previous health & safety team member
