The Role
The Senior Strategist will be part of a small strategy team within Canopy. With the team, they will identify new corporate and product opportunities, assess Canopy’s current product performance and market impact, and develop longer term strategic plans by using research and analysis. They will work within the strategy team and closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing, to ensure that our products contribute to the growth of the business, drive revenue, and most importantly, deliver exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Define target product segments and verticals and build strategic proposals to maximize the customer offering and business opportunity.
- Create business models to support the product prioritization process.
- Work with Product Marketing to test and iterate product positioning and product strategies based on customer feedback, market trends, and performance metrics.
- Work with internal teams including Advanced Product, Sales, Marketing and Engineering to ensure company alignment and a holistic product offering.
- Proactively implement new policies and processes to build our team, culture and establish best working practices.
- Communicate strategic roadmap and rationale to all levels within the organization including our senior leadership team.
Requirements
- An entrepreneurial mindset and strong understanding and experience of corporate strategy and setting product requirements.
- Experience, and proven success, in building and fostering excellent internal and external relationships.
- A data savvy and experienced approach in customer research, translating problems and unmet customer needs into customer-centric, and industry leading, product definitions.
- Good Knowledge of either consumer electronics or the automotive industry, particularly fleets and commercial vehicles.
- Demonstrable communication skills to all levels and job roles within our organization.
- Bachelor Degree (MBA or similar preferred)
