We are looking for a personable and responsible Dog Walker / Activities Assistant to support our senior citizen residents with their pets. In this role you will be responsible for assisting our residents in providing care for dogs and cats, as well as providing other general support for our residents and our activities team. We are looking for a personable and responsible Dog Walker / Activities Assistant to support our senior citizen residents with their pets. In this role you will be responsible for assisting our residents in providing care for dogs and cats, as well as providing other general support for our residents and our activities team. Here are a few of the regular responsibilities:
- Support residents in caring for their pets by walking and feeding dogs, disposing of dog waste, and providing cat care.
- Delivering packages received at the community to the appropriate residents.
- Facilitate resident movie night by ensuring the multimedia device is prepared in advance, and started on time.
- Assisting the Life Enrichment team with projects and activities for residents, including special or seasonal events, to support resident engagement and mental health.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Friendly and positive verbal communication skills required.
- Customer service mindset.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or in progress.
- Experience working with seniors is a plus.
- Experience caring for pets is preferred.
