Enterprise Network Services Engineer

Description

NexGen Data Systems is seeking an Enterprise Networking Services (ENS) Engineer with experience in troubleshooting security suite solutions related to routing, load balancing, and application delivery.  The ENS Engineer will work within a team to make recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation.  The engineer will work with on-site personnel and other network specialist to troubleshooting issues.  The engineer will be responsible for assisting with maintained connectivity for DHA hospitals and working with internal and external customers on a daily basis. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Troubleshooting network security solutions related to routing, load balancing, and application delivery.  
• Working in a team setting making recommendations related to troubleshooting, device configuration, and documentation.
• Resolving issues in a timely manner dealing with a variety of different network devices to include: Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco routers/switches, and F5 load balancers.

Requirements

Desired/Required Skills: 

• Experience troubleshooting issues with F5 devices
• Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls  
• Cisco and F5 certifications preferred
• 8140 compliance (Active Security and OS certifications)
• Secret security clearance (at minimum) is required
• Must be a team player that can work under pressure with good written and oral communication skills.
