The Director, HR Business Partner, will primarily support the President of dbt Labs, focusing on global People strategies and initiatives.
dbt Labs is in growth mode, and this is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned HR Business Partner who is eager to make a company-wide impact. We have many new leaders across the company, and this role will advise and mentor executive/senior leadership team(s) alongside the HR Business Partners to identify, develop and execute on transformational HR programs and initiatives. This role reports into the Senior Director, Talent Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively partner with leadership & COEs to develop and execute short and long term plans that effectively address tactical as well as strategic business priorities. This entails a variety of areas – including, but not limited to: talent management, employee engagement, succession planning, global org design, etc.
- Identify and utilize people insights to drive meaningful action and evidence-based decision making
- Effectively collaborate and mentor our HR Business Partner Team. While this role is an individual contributor role, this person is expected to exhibit a leader mentality in our organization and People team.
- Serve as point of escalation for team members to address ideas, issues and concerns. Ensures the team has the tools, resources and knowledge to execute on key organizational initiatives.
Position Requirements:
- A minimum of five years of strategic HRBP experience at a manager level or above, and at least 2 years supporting C-level teams. Experience supporting an International workforce (APAC, EMEA, etc) is a requirement.
- Demonstrated success in prior HR Business Partner role(s) that include hands-on experience driving, developing and/or delivering employee engagement, OD, strategic talent management, and succession planning
- Experience and/or exposure to full cycle data analytics – from reporting and analysis of data to interpretation, presentation and application of insights.
- Expert capabilities in performance management and employee relations, including investigation and positive resolution of complex cases
- Demonstrated ability to influence all levels of management, build relationships quickly, understand the business and assist business leaders in reaching their strategic goals.
- Prior experience effectively leading cross-functional projects and teams; relying on informal leadership skills and influence, instead of authority, to drive consensus.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, time management and prioritization skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation: $200,000-$230,000
