Security/Access Controls Technician

Job Type: Full time permanent position. M-F 7:00 AM -5:00PM

Location: Cedar Springs and surrounding counties.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 Per hour DOE + No out-of-pocket benefit expenses! 

Job Duties:

• Responsible for developing methodologies and criteria for the installation, inspection, and documentation of structured cabling system infrastructure to include cable tray, horizontal fiber and copper cable, multi-strand fiber optic cable, and associated connectivity hardware.
• Installation of ducts and conduits, pulling cables, and terminating, testing, and repairing interior and outside copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling.
• Install, fusion splice, label and test optical fiber.
• Install, terminate, label and test shielded and un-shielded copper.
• Install complete data center infrastructure (Racks, PDU, CAT6, SM/MM Fiber, Patch Panels, and Labeling).
• Installation of cameras and recording components.
• Lead low-voltage security installations (Access Control, IP Video / CCTV / Video Surveillance, Burglar / Security Alarm Systems, Intercoms, etc.)
• Willingness to perform and contribute to all physical aspects of the installation process (planning, wiring, devicing, programming, testing, training, troubleshooting, etc)
• Accountable for installation efficiency and clear communication with proper individuals regarding all installs including labor and materials
• Able to communicate clearly with internal and external customers, ensuring all projects are completed smoothly from initial site survey to project completion and customer training
• Train for and obtain manufacturer certifications for product offerings as necessary
• Timely and accurately update and complete work orders via operations software process flow
• Provide constructive feedback
• Work with other members of the Electronic Solutions Team to develop and train new team members

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License in good standing.
• Ability to Pass Background Check.
• Ability to take direction and work well with others.
• Positive attitude to learn and grow your expertise with hands on training and guidance from lead Technicians.
• Attention to detail and strong written, verbal communication skills.
