Summary/Objective 

TRMF is looking for an experienced retail professional to add to our team as we continue to grow and expand. Candidates should expect a variable job as our retail stores are largely seasonal, and duties and demands shift throughout the year.

The candidate should be highly detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and adaptable. Experience operating a retail store including opening and closing; using POS software to complete transactions, refunds, and exchanges; balancing tills and doing deposits is required. 

The ideal candidate would have experience managing and coaching staff.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Greet and interact with customers.

· Consult customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.

· Demonstrate and explain merchandise, select and suggest options suitable for customer needs.

· Answer customers’ questions about merchandise.

· Assist customers with purchase decisions.

· Retrieve merchandise from sales floors, stockrooms, or other inventory locations.

· Collect payment using the store point of sale system.

· Process returns and exchanges.

· Deliver excellent customer service. 

· Become familiar with products to promote sales. 

· Collaborate with manager to develop departmental meetings and safety training.

· Monitor inventory of assigned merchandise to ensure that stock is available to provide timely and efficient service.

· Communicate with staff and departments regarding the status of merchandise shipments. Disseminate communications to the retail staff.

· Work to ensure retail guest experience is clean, friendly, and safe.

· Promote Medora shows, events, and activities and provide accurate information.

· Demonstrate and enforce procedures and policies with team and guests.

· Transfer inventory between stores for sales success. 

· Unpack, inspect, count, and sort inventory.

· Data entry in various software/applications in adherence to department processes.

· Pricing and repricing according to pricing practices.

· Organize back stock in storage locations. 

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

· Must be fluent in English, other languages a plus.

· Able to work alone or as part of a team.

· Valid Driver’s License.

Required Education and Experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Previous experience in retail and/or customer service.

· Supervisory Experience Preferred.

Work Environment

This position works largely inside a controlled temperature environment. Occasional outside work in extreme temperatures may be required when it comes to transporting inventory, equipment, and supplies between locations.

· Must be able to twist, bend, push and pull occasionally. 

· Must have visual acuity to determine accuracy, details and transcribe data.

· Work in proximity with computer software

· Have repetitive use of hands/arms and eye/hand coordination.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift to 35 lbs. at times.
