What you'll do...
- Manage compliance requirements by addressing questions, monitoring regulations, and updating policies with leadership input.
- Collaborate with senior managers to communicate compliance information and identify potential gaps, recommending strategies for resolution.
- Maintain Walmart's Energy Benchmarking Portfolio by staying up to date on all reporting requirements and program changes that could impact the businesses bottom line.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SMA) on Building Performance Standards (BPS) across Walmart's real estate portfolio.
- Lead data management programs to track legislation and support long-term regulatory forecasting.
- Resolve compliance concerns through data collection, reporting and timely updates.
- Work closely with internal teams such as legal, real estate, energy and sustainability.
- Proven expertise in compliance management and regulatory compliance within complex environments.
- Experience in the energy industry across various sectors.
- An understanding of deregulated energy markets
- Previous experience with Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) with an understanding of Renewable Portfolio Standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage internal controls and lead compliance assessments effectively.
- Experience collaborating with senior leadership and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to analyze legislation, assess regulatory impacts, and develop strategic responses.
- Excellent project management capabilities with a focus on driving results and accountability.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and fostering a culture of integrity and transparency.
- A history of thriving in a team environment.
