Position Summary
Join Effectual's Project Management Office as a Senior Project Manager and become our next Brand Ambassador! You'll lead dynamic transformation projects within our Professional Services organization, orchestrating the perfect balance of customer success and team excellence.
As a leader managing multiple project portfolios, you'll ensure every customer-facing initiative is delivered in-scope, on-time, and on-budget while championing exceptional client satisfaction and creating positive experiences for our delivery teams. You'll guide our talented Professional Services teams toward achieving customer-defined outcomes, driving both operational excellence and business growth that makes a real impact.
This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Project Management Office.
Responsibilities:
Project Portfolio Leadership
- Manage multiple client projects simultaneously from kickoff to go-live, ensuring alignment with business strategy and client outcomes
- Prioritize projects based on strategic objectives, resource availability, and client needs
- Monitor project performance against key metrics and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders
Resource & Financial Management
• Allocate and optimize resources across multiple projects to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Manage project budgets including forecasting, expense tracking, and margin optimization
• Identify resource gaps and collaborate cross-functionally to address constraints
• Drive profitability while delivering measurable client value
Client Relationship & Business Development
• Serve as primary client contact, building relationships and understanding client goals
• Anticipate challenges and position clients for success through strategic guidance
• Identify opportunities and collaborate with sales teams to pursue new business
• Ensure client satisfaction and positive delivery team experience
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead by example, providing mentorship and guidance to junior project managers and consultants
• Foster a collaborative culture of trust, learning, and professional development
• Demonstrate best practices in project management and client engagement
Risk Management
• Identify and assess risks impacting project delivery
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor risk and issues and take corrective actions to minimize disruptions
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Cumputer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years in Professional Services
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services
- PMP Certification and Certified Scrum Master (or equivalent)
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and/or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certifications
- Experience delivering Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization (VM) and AI/ML projects
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and margin optimization
- Exceptional communication and influence skills across all organizational levels
Location: Remote
Salary Range: $131,500-$157,500

Travel Requirements

The ability to travel is essential for fulfilling the responsibilities of this role and supporting our organization's goals and objectives.
