Business Intelligence Analyst supporting the Operations and Customer teams

The Role

We are looking for an experienced business intelligence analyst to partner with the operations and customer facing teams in Cubic Telecom and work closely with the data and product teams.

Our teams are at the forefront of building the best systems to propel the automotive IOT space forward in a way that better serves everyone. Our partners are some of the biggest global brands and our work touches all aspects of their automotive connectivity.

We are looking for you to join us on this journey and in supporting the operational and customer facing teams to understand the business via the analysis of appropriate data providing insightful decision support to the teams and support during operational incidents. You will also contribute to the design, development and maintenance of reports and dashboards, in conjunction with product managers, for end users and key business partners.

Your key responsibilities will be to support in all queries, business insight and incident management support the operational and customer facing teams may have and to work closely with the data and product teams in developing the assets that will improve this process.

• Production & analysis of the weekly and daily business performance assets with deep dives into anomalous performance.
• Production & analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance presentation decks
• Act as the business Super User for our business intelligence database and analytical tools
• Performance Management, Analysis & Decision Support
• Business Intelligence and analytical support for incident management
• Generation of the presentations required for ad hoc customer queries and meetings.
• Working with all areas of the business to support understanding and insight needed for the operational and customer facing areas and identify where analytic support can be provided.
• Perform detailed analysis as required to highlight performance trends & communicate appropriate insights to enable effective decision making.
• Grow communication and share informative insights on performance through newsletters and creating more visualisations.
• Work with Data team to develop new capabilities and maintenance of the business intelligence system.
• Monitor & validate feeds of data for accuracy & completeness.
• Manage recovery of any incidents of data corruption including development of system to prevent repeat occurrence.
• Manage all inward bound support tickets.

Key Requirements

• Proficient in SQL (Python would be an advantage), Visualisations tools (Looker preferably), Excel (advanced formulas, and add-ins).
• Effective project management skills to coordinate the multi owner inputs into the various monthly performance reviews.
• Effective presentation skills, including MS PowerPoint.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Data visualisation skills.
• Analytical mind-set with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with ability to scope, structure and solve complex issues with high levels of ambiguity. This includes the ability to go beyond what an end user asks for and understand what they need.
• Ability to contextualise data and derive key learnings and insights, and tailor findings based on end user needs.
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• Proactive and comfortable working independently and off own initiative.
• Proven ability to meet targets and deadlines while maintaining focus on vision and purpose of work outputs, not just activities.
