Position Specific Description

This job is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a landfill power plant and pipeline operations on a day-to-day basis. Employees in this role ensure that regular operational and maintenance activities are carried out on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, including daily logging of plant data, trending plant performance and safety.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• . Perform Daily check list for engines and equipment
• . Monitor Scada system and adjust engines and equipment
• . Perform routine and major maintenance on Caterpillar 3516 engines and gas equipment
• . Have basis electrical troubleshooting skills
• . Ability to work extended hours and be on callout rotation
• . Interact with landowners and production personal
• . Communicates effectively throughout all levels of the organization
• . Perform other job-related duties as assigned
• Maintain environmental compliance standards
• Assisting in planning and managing of O&M budgets
• Participates in the technical performance of the plant
•  Complies with all regulations and policies

 

The individual in this role will operate and maintain a transmission pipeline and all associated equipment and systems including but not limited to, compressors, valves, emergency shut down (ESD), repairs, construction and other duties as assigned. This position requires periodic travel in support of other NEPSCo assets or maintenance and availability for call outs as needed.

 

Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Knowledge and understanding of applicable local, state and federal regulations and required documentation Monitoring and reporting environmental compliance
• Communicate with gas control, landowners, first responders and general public as well as management, peers and contractors of NEPSCo Perform work in accordance with established procedures
• Ability to work safely alone or as a team member equally Complete and maintain operator qualifications

 

The selected candidate will be required to pass and maintain all corporate, Department of Transportation (DOT) testing, certifications and qualifications Additional Requirements:

• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and for distances greater than one half mile
• Lift up to 40 lbs Sit or stand for extended periods
• Climb fixed and/or portable ladders
• Wear required PPE

 

 

   

Job Overview

This job is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the pipeline and gathering systems on a day to day basis. Employees in this role ensure that regular operational and maintenance activities are carried out on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, including the capture of gas samples, maintenance of gas metering equipment, and launching and retrieving pipeline rigs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Pulls Gas samples at central delivery points (CDPs)
• Drives Right-of-ways to observe for pipeline damage/leaks
• Performs metering maintenance
• Performs general maintenance of equipment
• Interacts with landowners and production personnel
• Communicates effectively throughout all levels of the organization
• Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
• Ability to work extended hours
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED
• Experience: 3+ years
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)

• Associate's Degree
