Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a Systems Engineering Intern to join our team in our Littleton, Colorado facility (Summer 2026).

What does this role look like?
You will participate in engineering tasks supporting a systems engineering team. Working with experienced engineers, you will perform work in all systems engineering phases that could include requirements definition, allocation and maintenance. This position supports various system analyses in support of mission planning and execution.

Basic Qualifications

Actively enrolled in an Engineering Field, Aerospace Engineering, Math or other related degree program from an accredited college/university.

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Desired skills

Knowledge of CAD and simulation tools.

Experience or classroom knowledge of analytical model development using MATLAB or Simulink.

Knowledge of coding implementation with programming languages (C, C++ as an example).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
