About the role

Job Duties:
  • Establish and manage the technology infrastructure that supports business operations (hardware, networks, operating systems, middleware, and telecommunications).
  • Contribute to documenting, monitoring, and maintaining the network infrastructure and improving its posture.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal leadership, business teams, IT, and external vendors.
  • Serve as an escalation point to diagnose complex network and server issues, identifying causes and developing remediation strategies.
  • Assist the management of the server environment. Tasks include creating new virtual machines, upgrading management software, troubleshooting infrastructure, and closely monitoring resource usage.
  • Understand business requirements and effectively design, communicate, and deliver solutions to both technical and business audiences.
  • Offer technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to peers as required.
 Qualifications:
  • CCNA or comparable industry certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with an emphasis on IT Infrastructure Networking.
  • 3+ years of experience with designing, configuring, installing, maintaining, and tuning components associated with the LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server operating systems and solid grasp of Active Directory and Group Policy in a multi-domain, geographically separated environment.
  • Solid TCP/IP network knowledge and troubleshooting skills, with an understanding of DHCP, WINS, and DNS network services.
  • Strong working knowledge of backup concepts and best practices. Preferably experienced using Veeam Backup and Replication software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server administration.
  • Understanding of SAN and storage architecture.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking including managing, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, cooperative teamwork skills, excellent problem-solving ability, high degree of flexibility as well as the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
  • Must be detail-oriented and can identify, prioritize, and complete tasks on deadline.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, constantly changing work environment.

Network Experience
  • Network Certificate like CCNA or another vendor equivalent.
  • Managing and deploying Wireless infrastructure.
  • Competency with switching equipment at the access and core layers.
    • Port Configuration.
    • Switch interconnectivity configuration.
  • Edge firewall management – site to site VPNs, ACLs, routing.
  • Understanding and experience with dot1x/Radius and the underlying software/systems/protocols that are involved.
Server Experience
  • Windows and Active Directory administration.
    • User Provisioning.
    • Group Policy Admin.
  • VMWare vCenter or HyperV administration.
    • Provisioning and managing virtual servers and their hardware.
    • Managing and implementing network storage.
Backup Experience
    • Managing backup of servers and other critical IT assets.
Projects
    • Experience with projects involving servers/network equipment. Has been a part of the planning/design/communication/execution.
    • Can speak to experience in planning/researching and communicating with different stakeholders.
