R.O. Snow Equipment Mechanic

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Snow Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of snow removal equipment to ensure functionality and safety during winter operations.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably working with snow equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
- Good physical condition to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

**Responsibilities:**
- Inspect and assess snow removal equipment to identify issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Repair or replace defective parts as needed
- Test machinery to ensure proper functionality
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times

**Preferred Skills:**
- Certification in diesel or heavy equipment mechanics
- Experience with snow plows, salt spreaders, and other snow removal equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
