Job Description

The Senior Project Manager, Creative Services at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is responsible for initiating, planning, and coordinating marketing and communications projects. This person will coordinate resources, set deadlines, and manage budgets. The Senior Project Manager will develop detailed project plans and track progress, informing relevant parties of any changes to project schedules. He/she will create reports on project success and outline areas for improvement, presenting these insights and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team. The Senior Project Manager will play an integral role in managing Marketing Communications operations and maintaining strategic priorities across projects.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversees creative workflow and life cycle for integrated marketing and communication campaigns and projects from end- to-end, including intake, scoping/requirements gathering, brainstorming, concepting, creative execution, closeout and reporting.
  • Develops detailed project schedules, monitors progress and ensures that projects are delivered to stakeholders on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Maintains project documentation Adapts to changing priorities and shifts project plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Prioritizes projects, allocates resources and assigns multidisciplinary team members to projects based on team capacity and alignment to hospital and foundation strategic priorities.
  • Coordinates and schedules stakeholder meetings as needed.
  • Manages project management function across the Foundation and MarComm team.
  • Identifies creative operations gaps and potential barriers to success.
  • Analyzes workflow processes and areas of improvement and recommends solutions to Leadership.
  • Leads weekly and ad-hoc production/status meetings for creative services, digital/web development, impact reporting and proposals, and projects and campaigns.
  • Maintains accurate, detailed project plans to document progress, informs stakeholders of any changes to project schedules, and identifies risks and mitigates issues.
  • Serves as system administrator for Creative Services project management and creative operations platforms.
  • Creates and updates workflow templates, develops reports, conducts training/onboarding for team members, manages/removes users, and liaises with platform support.
  • Additionally manages Creative Services OneDrive file system and storage.
  • Works with the Brand team and NRC Health market insights database, to review dashboard reports on key brand and hospital/clinical/service line metrics, key performance indicators, competitors, and trends to evaluate the success of marketing campaigns.
  • Assists in design and creative execution, including development of marketing collateral and advertising, print production, and vendor selection.
  • Oversees the processing and management of purchase orders and vendor contracts for the Creative Services team.
  • Manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Fosters teamwork and respectful collaboration among project teams.
  • Other job functions as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business or IT/Computer Science or Human Resources, Master's Degree preferred in Business or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years required in project management; demonstrated excellence in project management and process design across a variety of complex projects.
  • Preferably with a creative/marketing team. Demonstrated experience in managing complex intra/interdepartmental marketing campaigns and projects.
  • Expert knowledge of project management principles and platforms.
  • Strong experience in design and print production methods, web development, quality assurance (QA), and video production processes.
  • Ability to think analytically with creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to and facilitate change with effective communication and conflict resolution
