The FlashArray team builds the industry’s most innovative, high-performance, and highly available portfolio of products that are designed for the most demanding mission critical applications.  While we deliver a hardware storage array, over 90% of our engineering staff are software engineers. Our customers are the most important part of our business and they love FlashArray for it’s simplicity of management, the constant flow of new and exciting upgrades, and ability to live on the cutting edge of technology while never taking downtime, ever. Most recently, we extended the value of our FlashArray capabilities into the cloud with CloudSnap and Cloud Block Store for AWS & Azure. In this role you'll get to learn and contribute to the process of developing great technology and building a successful company. Our open culture and transparency in both strategy and operations allows employees a deeper level of engagement in engineering and business decisions.

  • Lead a team of software QA engineers in assuring product quality by using quality best practices related to hardware and software interaction and leveraging our automation tests & manual test coverage. 
  • Provide technology leadership and own test strategy, test planning, test execution, automation to increase release velocity and improve quality.
  • Hands-on management to help lead product quality and efficiently scale the team to support the company’s growth.
  • Lead multiple projects from inception stage to release by working with cross functional groups, and influencing test strategy, planning and execution.
  • Work with product teams and build teams to understand & fix the key issues in the test infrastructure, and improve the test pipeline to find issues as early as possible.
  • Partner with other Engineering teams to optimize the reliability and predictability of our releases.
  • Create & adopt best practices such as test driven development and deliver high quality test code, in an agile environment.
  • Identify and leverage metrics that allow us to ensure and improve our release process.
  • Help in triaging customer field issues and provide leadership and support for timely resolution of customer issues. Identify any test gaps, perform root cause analysis & close loop with release engineering.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of overall experience in software quality assurance and 3+ years of technical management experience.
  • A leader with strong technical, organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with engineers/development managers/ program managers across the company in architecture, hardware, validation, firmware, and software services.
  • Proven expertise in managing projects throughout the entire development life-cycle.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the systems, component interactions, system buses, interfaces and software to find the best solutions to multi-factor problems.
