About the role

Description

We are seeking an experienced IT & Technical Operations Specialist to join our team. As the Technical Operations & Security Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure, video surveillance systems, WIFI networks, and overall IT operations for all locations and companies within our organization. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and security of our digital systems and providing technical support to staff members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations, network maintenance, and system administration.


Job duties will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Maintain network infrastructure for all locations and companies, ensuring its reliability and security.
  • Ensure video surveillance systems are functioning properly across all locations.
  • Monitor and maintain WIFI network to ensure optimal performance in all locations.
  • Perform website maintenance, including implementing additions, enhancements, and changes as required by operational needs and business growth.
  • Manage document management systems and software to ensure efficient company process workflows.
  • Keep all company hardware in proper running order by performing updates, antivirus scans, reboots, etc.
  • Maintain backups for important company-wide digital records and information.
  • Assist staff members with technical difficulties, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Monitor email and internet usage, reporting any abuse or policy violations.
  • Manage cellular accounts and phone numbers, ensuring they are up-to-date and organized by employee use.
  • Procure, distribute, and maintain records for company cell phones, monitoring usage and reporting any abuse.
  • Maintain all company technology contracts and accounts with various vendors.
  • Conduct research on new technologies based on company needs and business directives.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot security cameras and related software, supporting management in investigations and surveillance matters.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and automation in all operational activities.
  • Assist managers and supervisors in improving computer literacy standards and proficiency in Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, by providing online resources and periodic training sessions.

Requirements

  • A degree in information technology, or a related field, is desirable but not required.
  • Proven experience in IT operations, network maintenance, and system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, video surveillance systems, and WIFI networks.
  • Proficiency in website maintenance and content management systems.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and workflow processes. Experience with SharePoint is highly desirable.
  • Experience in desktop and laptop computer maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of backup and data recovery procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with security cameras and surveillance software is highly desirable.
