Job Description Summary:

This is an exciting Sr. Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role covering the North America region and total Global Markets. The core aspects of the role include reporting financial & non-financial metrics, business partnering, analytics which stretch across all markets that PayPal operates in. The individual will establish critical link of digging deep into the data including sales and operational metrics to determine the causes of trends, identifying anomalies, spotting opportunities etc. and in the process help business determine the focus areas for growth and expansion. The role will go further into helping business make better decisions, pre-empt future trends and take corrective actions to ensure PayPal remains on track to meet its short-term and long-term goals. You will influence the development of strategic plans, annual budgets, and forecasts across our global markets. You will need to navigate the complexities of the matrix organization to enable yourself and the team to deliver business results. Additionally, you will help your team perform at its best, retaining and recruiting the best talent.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Business partner with Senior Leaders across North America and overall Global Markets leadership team

  • Support consolidation across all markets to report on total Global Markets

  • Efficient measurement and reporting of the financial and non-financial metrics across the regions

  • Analysis of business performance, including generating insights into customer behavior, initiative performance, pricing opportunities

  • Convert business questions into analytical problems and analyze data through hypothesis generation.

  • Communicate complex concepts and results of the analyses with clear/effective communication and visualization to senior leadership

  • Influence the development of strategic plans, annual financial budgets, and monthly forecasts

  • Ensure a deep understanding of our overall business and identify key business levers

  • Drive automation, structure and efficiency across Global Markets

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience either in  Financial Planning or Business Analytics  preferably in technology or payments industry

  • Bachelors in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting or related field. Additional business qualifications like MBA/CFA/CPA preferred

  • Experience in Essbase and SQL in addition to strong Excel, PowerPoint and SQL
