Job Description

Vuori is building our Retail Operations team in San Diego, CA. We are currently seeking a Senior Retail Operations Manager to join our collaborative team and play a pivotal role in the expansion of our physical retail stores. The Senior Retail Operations Manager reports to the Director of Retail Operations and works cross-functionally with a diverse group of stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, results driven, entrepreneurial, and have 3+ years in retail operations experience (store manager or corporate office). The candidate will be able to prioritize, multi-task and maximize productivity in a fast paced and evolving environment while maintaining high levels of efficiency, organization, and attention to detail. This role will work with the Director of Retail Operations to manage retail stakeholder expectations, store communication, and help develop store standard operating procedures to ensure store efficiency while driving a premium customer experience for our store teams.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead team of direct reports in store operations, with a focus on store communications and process improvement.
  • Proactively identify areas in store for optimization and improvement that can be scaled fleet-wide, build business cases for these improvements, manage execution of pilots and proof of concept, and support fleetwide roll-outs.
  • Lead, develop, and constantly evaluate standard operating procedures for retail stores.
  • Help ensure we’re operationally equipped to deliver a consistent and frictionless customer experience.
  • Help lead and develop a communications strategy that streamlines all corporate communication to stores. Ensure clear, concise, and timely communication cadence to stores.
  • Establish cross-functional relationships with corporate as well as field partners to gain feedback and align on key recommendations.
  • Create and maintain contact information for corporate retail, and all store and field partners.
  • Develop and maintain a workload calendar that is accessible for all retail corporate partners to ensure store tasks are manageable for the field teams.
  • Assist and support IT roll-outs within store operations.
  • Partner with DC and Logistics team to optimize store deliveries and schedules.
  • Work with retail store training team and support delivery of training both virtually, and in-store as needed.
  • Work in collaboration with district managers, store managers, and cross-functional partners to capture feedback to continually improve programs to support various in-store initiatives.
  • Special projects and ongoing support to stores as assigned, ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a successful store manager.
  • 3+ years experience in corporate retail operations or store leadership.
  • Obsessed with designing and implementing scalable processes to optimize store labor and operational efficiency.
  • Data driven mindset.
  • Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and able to deal with ambiguity and overcome obstacles that may arise during projects.
  • High attention to detail; ability to juggle many priorities and manage execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to drive continual improvement, with proven ability to think strategically and determine the impact of decisions on store business.
  • Creative problem solver able to quickly identify and resolve critical issues.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Office, Excel, Powerpoint, Word), and Apple software and hardware. Ability to learn and become proficient in other design software.

Additional Information

Pay Range: From $110,000 - $130,000 annually
