Job Description (General Summary)
We are seeking a Design Safety Compliance Engineer for our Baltimore-based U.S. operation to oversee safety compliance operations for both modular conveyors and integrated conveyance systems. This role will be tasked with ensuring these platforms’ adherence to established safety processes, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the expansion of safety compliance practices to cover complex integrated solutions.

The role will collaborate effectively with our assembly, engineering and project management teams globally, and with our Quality, Product Stewardship and Legal/Risk teams, to achieve excellence in delivering equipment safety and compliance across the global organization.

The successful candidate will combine deep knowledge of relevant safety standards with strong process management, training, and collaboration skills. This role is critical in ensuring that safety considerations are embedded in both design and verification phases.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Key Responsibilities

Process Ownership & Improvement
  • Ensure adherence to existing design safety processes for automated equipment.
  • Expand safety processes to include integrated multi-equipment systems.
  • Continuously evaluate, refine, and improve compliance processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Training & Guidance
  • Assist in developing and delivering training programs to educate design and engineering teams on established safety processes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for U.S.-based team members with questions about design safety.
Safety Assessments & Compliance Reviews
  • Conduct and review safety risk assessments for both individual equipment and integrated systems.
  • Support the integration of “design for safety” principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Verify safety design compliance through reviews and prototype validation.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
