Speakeasy Host
The Mob MuseumAbout the role
Located in downtown Las Vegas, The Mob Museum is a non-profit museum with a mission of advancing the public understanding of organized crime’s history and impact on American society. Since opening in 2012, the Museum has enjoyed continued growth and success; today the Museum welcomes over 400,000 guests annually.
Within the Museum is The Underground Speakeasy & Distillery, a prohibition-themed exhibition space built around a working bar featuring hand-crafted cocktails, live music nights, and a lively environment inspired by the age of jazz.
As a Speakeasy Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests of The Underground, “testing” whether they have the night’s password, checking IDs, facilitating seating, establishing a visible security presence, and providing wonderful guest service to meet The Underground’s standard of gracious hospitality.
Beyond your warm and engaging manner, you will bring your prior experience providing security in a public venue, preferably in a setting where alcohol is served. The position also requires excellent verbal communication skills, judgment and decision making, along with the finesse to deescalate situations, and the physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
The Underground’s operating hours extend until 12 AM most nights; successful candidates will have schedule flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
