About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Regional Business Analyst is responsible for assisting the Sales General Manager, Area Sales Manager, and Market Managers and for the administration of key sales systems and processes. The primary objective of this role is to support the sales region's activities and provide critical business intelligence for decision-making purposes. This role utilizes best practice frameworks, processes, and ad-hoc analysis to synthesize data and provide clear conclusions and recommendations. The role requires the ability to understand business problems and develop data-driven solutions with advanced tools such as Salesforce.com, QlikSense, SAP, MiSale, etc. The Regional Business Analyst ensures effective reports are published regularly and analyzes the same to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in pricing, volume, and construction activity. He/she maintains market intelligence (competitor, customer, Holcim internal) and implements effective processes to keep them current and accurate. The Regional Business Analyst reports to the Sales General Manager and works closely with the region Area Sales Managers and Market Managers. This role will collaborate and support other Regional Business Analysts and demonstrate leadership by sharing ideas and reinforcement of best practices.

 

The position can be based out of Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, or Charleston, SC. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Perform region functions necessary for daily Sales success including, but not limited to, answering phones, customer contact, report creation, and other Sales duties as required.
  • Internal Audits: assist Sales GM during sales/pricing process audit(s); gather documentation
  • Responsible for Holcim Internal Controls (monthly EPD reports, MCS23 Self Assessments, random ICS KeyControl-pricing inquiries)
  • Maintains region customer database for customer event planning communications (annual price letters, new customer welcome packets, and other customer mailings).
  • Systems: Effectively utilizes internal best practice systems (i.e. SFDC, Qlikview, MiSale, SAP, Blue Yonder Forecasting) and actively engages in opportunities to improve effectiveness across North America. Demand Forecast analytics and reporting. Salesforce.com support (quoting, customer contact info, dashboards, etc).
  • Supports region collection efforts for strong DSO performance and promotes customer digital interactive solutions (DirectA, E-Invoicing, etc.)
  • ABS Liaison/Key Contact: directs and coaches the region ABS Dispute Analyst.
  • Responsible for accurate, on-time reports for regular distribution (SAP and QS Reports) and input of systematic pricing information (EPD’s). Support the completion of the Marketing Plans, Strategic Frameworks, and Systematic Pricing analysis. This includes the SMART process, Marketing Plans, Performance Plans, and Sales Forecasts.
  • Responsible for supporting the needs of the Regional PL’s identifying marketing risks and opportunities
  • Data Modelling: Responsible for creating effective data-driven solutions to assist management in understanding the business and for accurate decision-making.
  • Competitors: Works closely with Commercial Teams to maintain a current database of competitor information and an assessment of competitor strengths and weaknesses. Routinely does competitive benchmarking.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Associate's degree
Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Required Work Experience: 2 years of sales support experience
Required Training/Certifications: Experience with and ability to use SAP, Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and Adobe software.

Travel Requirements: 3-4 trips per year for Regional sales meetings

 

Additional Requirements:

  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resources
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
