Scope of Eligibility

Description
This position will assist with various Bureau projects as needed, but with a focus on expanding shell collection at regional restaurants, advancing reef restoration and enhancement activities and educational/outreach opportunities (including the development, maintenance and implementation of educational curriculum). Communicate with program partners - including restaurants, non-profits, academic institutions, volunteers, and local businesses - the position will collaborate with program partners, maintaining accurate records, and maximizing opportunities for expansion. The position will assist in shell collection and outreach/education activities, including collecting shell, maintaining grounds and equipment, oyster reef monitoring and enhancement, attending outreach events, delivering presentations, and assisting with Project S.H.E.L.L. (the educational component of the program).
Preferred Skilled Set
This position demands strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with external organizations and a variety of stakeholders (restaurants, schools, volunteers, Federal and State agencies, and the public, etc.) as well as working collaboratively with biologists and technical staff.
License
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey.
