As the Senior Director of Workforce Planning, you will lead the strategic design and execution of global workforce planning initiatives to support the rapid growth and scalability of Sabre Technology. You will partner with senior leaders across Software Engineering, Product and Finance to ensure our workforce is optimized to meet evolving customer demands, product innovation cycles, and global expansion goals.  

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Workforce Planning 

  • Develop and implement a global workforce planning strategy aligned with growth models, including customer success metrics, and product roadmaps. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to forecast talent needs across engineering, product, sales, and customer success functions. 
  • Drive headcount planning and workforce allocation to support agile product development and go-to-market strategies. 

Data-Driven Forecasting & Modeling 

  • Build predictive models using internal and external data to anticipate hiring needs, skill gaps, and workforce risks. 
  • Partner with Finance to align workforce plans with budget cycles and revenue projections. 
  • Monitor specific metrics (e.g., churn, onboarding velocity, support ratios) to inform workforce decisions. 
  • Analyze current/past trends and key workforce performance indicator metrics (utilization, turnover, etc.) 

  

Talent Strategy & Optimization 

  • Lead initiatives to improve organizational design, job architecture, and career mobility across global teams. 
  • Integrate workforce planning with talent acquisition, learning & development, and succession planning. 
  • Ensure workforce agility to support rapid scaling, M&A activity, and new market entry. 
  • Fully understand the product portfolio and workforce demands to support product and development. 

Technology & Tools 

  • Implement and manage workforce planning platforms and analytics tools to enable successful planning, forecasting and analysis. 
  • Champion automation and digital solutions to streamline planning processes and reporting. 

Leadership & Collaboration 

  • Lead a global team of workforce planning professionals. 
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the team and with key stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications & Education  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related field; MBA or master’s preferred. 
  • 15+ years in workforce planning or strategic HR roles, with 5+ years in a SaaS or tech company. 
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action and innovation. 
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in high-growth environments. 
  • Passionate about building scalable, data-driven workforce strategies. 

  

Skills 

  • Deep understanding of business models and talent dynamics. 
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Workday. 
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management. 
  • Experience with global workforce planning and remote team structures. 
  • Strong financial and workforce planning skills with ability to think strategically.
