About the role

OCI Data Center Operations are looking for a seasoned Architect as an overall technical generalist for our team. The ideal candidate will need to be is highly technical, motivated, passionate, and detailed oriented and will rise to the opportunity to work with top-notch engineering teams, sales, marketing, and product management groups to further the OCI Data Center Infrastructure delivery. Someone who can help drive Data Center Design discussions for new builds, optimization for existing builds, end to end lifecycle management and tooling. Strong hardware with infrastructure and data center in depth knowledge at scale, global, and that can collaborate with the hardware teams across Compute, Storage, Network, and Supply Chain. 

Data Center Architects at Oracle work to design resilient, cost-effective DC facilities. Our team is responsible for achieving a world class uptime for our customers and drive to develop a fleet of buildings that emphasize security, safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness, while finding new ways to meet Oracle’s growing demand. As a subject matter expert, you will have a direct impact on the design of prototypical DC facilities, provide technical guidance, solve large scale implementation issues, and be responsible for architectural design requirements.

What you’ll bring

  • 15+ Strong Data Center & Networking background. 
  • Experience with Data Plane & Control Plane.
  • Architect for : Rack, cable, power reference architecture and design .
  • Data center lifecycle management experience. 
  • Capacity management experience.
  • Highly experienced in Cloud technologies.
  • A strong focus on ownership and execution 
  • A strong balance of strategic and tactical skills, with a high level of intellectual, agility and capacity for original thought. 
  • An exceptional communicator who can write, present and effectively adjust messages to meet individual audiences and organizations.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills. Able to handle challenging meetings with internal and external executives.
  • Extensive industry knowledge and expertise in cloud adoption and cloud services.
  • Experience Architecting, implementing, and delivering complex service solutions for large scale, mission critical environments.

Education

A bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role. An advanced degree is a plus, but not essential.

US: Hiring Range: from $161,600 to $338,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
