Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced CAD / Engineering Specialist to be based in Fresno, California. This job is open to remote work.

JOB INFORMATION: 

While the position is primarily for East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit Project, AECOM has an impressive backlog of significant transportation projects in the Greater Los Angeles area and transit/rail projects across the West Region and provides exceptional opportunity for professional growth. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform a variety of CAD tasks in support of the Civil Design Engineering staff
• Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements.
• Works under general supervision of Engineering Design Team and Project BIM Manager performing technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources.  
• Performs CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of the Engineering Design objectives.
• Performs applications, scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines. 
• Digitizes or traces sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit. 
• Mentor junior drafters.
• Will be responsible for adhering to project CADD standards for setting up base files, detail sheets and managing reference files.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience OR an AA/AS (US) + 6 years of relevant experience OR demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8+ years of experience in Revit, AutoCAD/Civil 3D software.
• 5+ years of related design experience on large infrastructure projects.
• Rail/Transit project experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, BIM 360, Projectwise, and Geopak.
• Experience with the production of engineering design drawings.

• The offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $62,000 - $112,000.
