The Marketing Webmaster serves as the technical owner of modernfamilylaw.com and is responsible for the site’s frontend development, performance, reliability, and day-to-day technical operation. This role partners closely with Marketing to implement website updates, improve user experience and conversion, configure tracking and analytics, and execute technical SEO initiatives under the direction of the SEO Manager.

Responsibilities include:

Website Ownership & Frontend Development

  • Serve as the technical owner of modernfamilylaw.com, including frontend code, CMS configuration, and template architecture.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance page templates and reusable components, including practice area pages, location pages, campaign pages, and landing pages.
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and mobile-first layouts that function consistently across devices and browsers.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve website performance, including Core Web Vitals such as page speed, CLS, and LCP.
  • Coordinate with IT and hosting partners to support uptime, SSL certificates, backups, and platform updates.

Marketing UX & Conversion Support

  • Partner with the Director of Marketing, Growth Marketing Manager, and Content Marketing Manager to implement UX and conversion rate optimization improvements, including forms, CTAs, navigation, layouts, and consult-booking flows.
  • Develop and maintain a reusable library of components (e.g., FAQ accordions, testimonials, attorney profiles, location widgets, booking modules) to support efficient page creation.
  • Support A/B and multivariate testing initiatives by building and implementing page variants and test experiences using approved tools.

Tracking, Analytics & Pixel Implementation

  • Own the technical setup, implementation, and maintenance of website tracking infrastructure, including Google Tag Manager (GTM), GA4, advertising platform pixels (e.g., Meta, LinkedIn), and call and form tracking scripts.
  • Implement, quality-check, and document tracking events such as click-to-call, form submissions, consult bookings, map interactions, and other user behaviors as defined by Marketing and Analytics.
  • Ensure tracking is tested, consistent, and well-documented to support reliable reporting and decision-making.

Technical SEO Implementation (Under SEO Manager Direction)

  • Work closely with the SEO Manager, who owns SEO strategy and prioritization, to implement technical SEO initiatives, including sitemaps, robots.txt updates, canonical tags, redirects, and hreflang where applicable.
  • Implement and maintain structured data and schema (e.g., LocalBusiness, LegalService, FAQ) on templates and relevant pages.
  • Resolve technical issues identified in SEO audits, such as broken links, 404 errors, redirect chains, and inconsistent URLs.
  • Ensure HTML structure, internal linking, and markup support SEO best practices and AI-readiness objectives.

Integrations & Marketing Technology Support

  • Implement and maintain website integrations with marketing and lead-generation tools, including HubSpot forms and tracking (in partnership with the Email & HubSpot Marketing Manager), chat widgets, scheduling tools, review widgets, and other approved third-party tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting form submissions, lead routing, analytics accuracy, or user experience.

Quality Assurance, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform QA testing on new pages, features, integrations, and tracking implementations prior to launch.
  • Maintain documentation and a simple change log to ensure visibility into site updates and releases.
  • Support basic governance and best practices for plugins, scripts, and site changes to maintain long-term performance, security, and stability.
