Adjunct Faculty - Master Medical Imaging

The School of Medical Imaging and Therapeutics seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver high quality learning experiences and education for students in the Master of Science in Radiologic and Medical Sciences and the Bridging program Associate to Masters in Radiologic and Medical Sciences. The selected candidate will have responsibilities teaching ONLINE courses to GRADUATE. Subject matters may include RIS 800 Medical Imaging Practicum.
- Delivers didactic, laboratory and/or experiential instruction via multiple formats (in-person, online, or in a ‘blended’ format) in the Master of Sciences in Radiologic and Imaging Sciences and the Bridging program Associate to Masters in Radiologic and Medical Sciences
- Provides students with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies in line with those of the School, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria.
- Approve the capstone projects for individual students
- Provide regular reviews, feedback, and grading the capstone deliverables
- Uses the University’s learning management system to post syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students
- Advises and assists students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms
- Provides service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Required:
- Masters degree required, doctorate preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Medical Imaging
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the college/university level
- Certification in a medical imaging field
- Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
Compensation
The pay range associated with this posting reflects the amount the University reasonably expects to pay for this role at this time. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity, market data and pay in comparison to similarly situated employees doing comparable work.
Hiring Range: $7866.67
