GENERAL PURPOSE

The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a value-added team support primarily for Pulsafeeder.  The position will include tactical support as well as administrative duties associated to recruitment, employee onboarding, payroll support, employee relations, safety, leave administration, and worker’s compensation leave management.  As assigned, incumbent will support HR initiatives supporting employee attraction, development, and Pulsafeeder’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. 

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES - Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Primary lead on recruitment process to include intake meetings, posting, sourcing, interviewing, scheduling interviews, extending offers of employment.

  • Administers the onboarding of new employees, including ensuring orientation presentations are updated, 90-day onboarding plans are created with Dept Leaders, etc.

  • Reporting talent acquisition data to HR Manager and recommendation process improvements.

HR Administration

  • Assists with annual Performance Management process and Salary Planning processes, as assigned.

  • Maintain employee data in HRIS ensuring data integrity.  Process workflows, data changes/updates with accuracy and on a timely basis.

  • Process owner for all employee terminations, including responding to unemployment claims as required.

Training & Development

  • Support HR initiatives with training and development as needed

  • Partner with EH&S Manager and HR Manager to develop and implement safety programs and training.

  • Facilitates annual corporate trainings as needed

Payroll

  • Serves as the back-up for payroll review and processing within HR, working with Corporate Payroll as needed.

  • Resolves any employee pay issues.

  • Ensures HRIS is compliant based on payroll regulations.

Employee Relations

  • Partners with HR Manager during investigations.

  • Supports HR Manager with Union relations.

  • Participates in initiatives tied to succession planning and talent acceleration as needed.

Benefits Administration

  • Process owner for all worker’s compensation, disability, & applicable leave of absences within organization.

  • Main point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, partnering with HR Manager and IDEX Benefits Team.

  • Updates HRIS and timesheets (where applicable) accurately

Reporting

  • Maintain, prepare, and audit reports including headcount, turnover, diversity and other key metrics, as required.

  • Working with the HR Team to support the annual engagement survey, data analysis, and action plans.

Miscellaneous

  • Work with a high level of confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive employee or organizational information

  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in HR, talent management and employment law.

  • Maintain employee files in compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements

  • Other job duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

  • PHR/SHRM-CP Certification preferred.

  • 3-5 years in a Human Resources Specialist role or similar required

  • 2 years’ minimum experience with recruiting exempt and non-exempt roles required

  • Experience with processing employee leave of absences required

  • Previous experience with HR reporting, compliance reporting, etc. preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, deliver on promises, and drive collaboration with employees at all levels of the organization.
