What You Will Do:
Participate in risk management, security compliance and preparation of vulnerability management reviews.
Provide security based guidance and direction into the support of O&M activities and associated best practices.
Provide POA&M support.
Manage, track, report, process and assign support tickets or change requests daily.
Knowledge of government security policies and general vulnerabilities management.
Attend change, problem management, AAR and other review boards as required.
Monitors system health and configurations in order to ensure system health and functionality as well as remediate problems/issues in a timely manner.
Monitor incident trends and coordinate process improvement proactive resolution processes.
Develop, implement and enforce process and SOP’s for O&M and incident response.
What You Will Need:
BA/BSA Degree with at least 8+ years of experience . In lieu of degree, 4 years of work experience is required.
8+ years of progressive Linux expertise leading to RHEL7 & 8 required.
Experience with infrastructure and Linux/Unix based application support experience.
Experience of script writing in Perl, Python or various shells.
Familiarity and practical application of advanced principles of ITIL/ITSM.
Must work well with general guidance, generate competent technical input for operations type documentation, be detailed and security oriented.
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to deal with multiple contractors and government organizations.
Must have worked in large enterprise class type environments, be in line with industry best practices, think outside the box, and be able to make recommendations to improve overall governance and support continuous improvement.
Able to perform rotational on-call support in a 24x7x365 operational environment.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
U.S. Citizen or Green card is required for the position.
Candidate must successfully pass a Federal Background Investigation.

3+ years of progressive VMware experience.
Current or previous government contract experience
Any security related certification
VMware VCP certification
Dell Infrastructure expertise
Ansible Platform experience
Satellite experience
BigFix hands on experience (patching)
