About the role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Level 2 Dental Assistant to join our team at Eastside Dental Office. As a Dental Assistant, you will play an essential role in providing quality care to our clients.

Schedule:

Tuesday 9 am - 5 pm

Wednesday 11 am -7 pm

Thursday noon - 7:30 pm

Friday 9 am -5 pm

One Saturday per month

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical chairside assisting duties including knowledge of instrumentation

  • Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, and in

  • some cases fluoride treatments

  • Take and develop dental x-rays

  • Conduct oral cancer screenings

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques

  • Maintain accurate patient records with strong attention to detail

  • Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

  • Prepare treatment room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient

  • Thorough understanding of practice health and safety requirements


About You:

  • Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association

  • Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
