Intern, Accounts Receivable Customer Account Reconciliation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help reconcile customer accounts, ensuring that all transactions are accurate, properly classified and that balances are properly maintained.
• Identify discrepancies or issues in the AR ledger and work with other departments to resolve them.
• Assist in applying customer payments to accounts and ensure proper posting in the accounting system.
• Help with the month-end close process by preparing reconciliations and reports for review.
• Assist in tracking outstanding receivables and collaborate with the collections team to follow up on overdue invoices.
• Ensure that all AR-related documentation is well-organized, easily accessible, and in compliance with company policies.
• Provide reporting for analysis.
• Support the AR team with special accounting or reporting projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Accounting.
• Ideally completed a minimum of 2nd year of studies prior to June 2025.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is a plus.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile data accurately and efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial data.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
