About the role

Capitol Periodontal Group - Roseville, is looking for a professional and qualified individual to join our practice. We would like someone with experience in Periodontal or Oral Surgery assisting. Dentrix software knowledge would be helpful but not required. This is a full time position, 5  days a week, and the hours are 7:15-5:30 approx. with some traveling required within the greater Sacramento area. We do offer a comprehensive benefit package.

Your Responsibilities

You will support the clinical team by delivering exceptional care and ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for during their visit. You will be an essential part of the practice, supporting both clinical and administrative functions, including:

  • Greeting and preparing patients for treatment
  • Assisting the dentist with procedures using four-handed dentistry
  • Sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean, organized operatory
  • Taking and developing dental radiographs in compliance with state regulations
  • Providing post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene education
  • Scheduling appointments and follow-up visits
  • Managing patient records accurately and securely
  • Assisting with insurance and payment processing
  • Supporting front desk and administrative functions as needed

 

Your Background

You’re a licensed RDA with a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of both the clinical and interpersonal aspects of dental assisting. You are calm under pressure, organized, and always eager to help both patients and your team.

You also have the following:

  • Active Registered Dental Assistant license in the state of California required
  • Current radiology certification required
  • CPR and BLS certification required
  • At least 1-2 years of dental assisting experience; specialty experience preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program (if required by state law)
  • Proficiency in sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude
  • Knowledge of dental software and basic administrative tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively with doctors and staff in a fast-paced environment
