Supervisor, Retail/Specialty Pharmacy

1.     Responsible for the operational aspects of the pharmacy during their shift.

2.     Participates in the inventory control system.

3.     Assures that the pharmacy systems are in compliance with State and Federal laws and guidelines, Regulatory Agency laws and guidelines, the hospital mission statement and the hospital's policies and procedures.

4.     Participates in the interviewing, hiring and associated activities.

5.       Participating in operational coverage for Pharmacy Staff at all Retail Pharmacy sites and locations.

6.     Participates the clinical and educational functions of the department for the hospital and the community.

7.     Participates in the Quality Assurance and Improvement activities of the department and the hospital.

8.     Participates in interviews and the selection, orientation, scheduling and assignment of personnel.

9.     Conducts performance evaluations of assigned personnel

10.  Recommends necessary staffing, participates in development of department's operating and capital budgets

11.  Performs other duties as directed/requested

12.  Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers.

13.  Performs other work related duties as assigned or requested.

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Pharmacy or Pharm D
• (Pharmacist) - Currently licensed as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• (BLS) - Current Basic Life Support certification
• (Cert) – Immunization Certification
• Three Years (3) recent full-time experience of progressively responsible Pharmacy leadership
• Must be able to travel as needed, both within and outside the organization, using personal transportation to fulfill position responsibilities
• Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
