Construction Field Safety Coordinator

Triumph Construction is a premier construction company located in Bronx, New York. We work for a wide variety of companies including New York City Design and Construction, Economic Development Corporation and Con Edison as well as other public and private entities. The job sites are in the five Boroughs of NYC.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

·         Conduct daily job site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Site-Specific Health & Safety Plans.

·         Audit findings and relevant pictures are imported into Triumph's safety platform via iPad.

·         Capable of identifying existing and potential exposures and able to recommend corrective action.

·         Performs weekly toolbox talks as well as appropriate on the job training (OJT).

·         Conducts accident investigations and completes reports as required. Assists Safety

·         Director with the identification of root causes for such events to develop and provide the required training to help prevent future occurrences.

·         Holds specialty training, as required, and needed.

·         Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Prerequisites:

·         Minimum of five years of construction field safety experience.

·         College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.

·         Computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Certifications:

·         CHST (or equivalent construction safety certification by exam).

·         OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer.

·         40-hour HAZWOPPER/8-hour refresher certified.

·         First Aid/CPR certified.

·         Flagger Instructor (NSC or ATSSA).

·         NYCFD COF-F60 Fire Guard for Torch Operation. 

·         62-hour SST Supervisor.
