About the role

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Care Supervisor, sometimes referred to as a Geriatric Services Supervisor or Senior Care Program Supervisor. The Senior Care Supervisor will lead the daily clinical and non-clinical operations of the Senior Care Service Line. The Senior Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing staff, supporting quality patient care, ensuring efficient use of time and resources, and helping drive service line growth and operational success. This role works closely with hospital leadership, the Senior Care Liaison, Medical Director of Geriatrics, and Corporate Director of Senior Care to support strategic goals, financial performance, and strong community referral relationships.

 

Shifts Available: Days (Monday thru Friday)

Employment Type: Full Time – Exempt

Location: St Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO

Responsibilities

**This position requires you to lead the daily clinical and non-clinical operations of the Senior Care Service Line across St. Joseph Medical Center and St. Mary’s Medical Center.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical and non-clinical operations of the Senior Care Service Line to support quality care and efficient workflow
  • Direct, supervise, and evaluate personnel while ensuring effective use of staff, time, and equipment
  • Collaborate with hospital and corporate leadership to support strategic planning, service line growth, and financial targets
  • Maintain strong relationships with physicians, discharge planners, and community partners to support referrals and program development
  • Monitor and support service line performance, patient care standards, and overall operational effectiveness

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 

  • Two (2) years experience in adult and/or geriatric setting required

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication and leadership skills required
  • Knowledge and experience in service line implementation, operations and growth planning 

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • Bachelor s Degree preferred
  • Master s Degree preferred
