About the role

Description

We’re a Fort Lauderdale marina dedicated to delivering unparalleled service, safety, and professionalism on the water. We’re seeking a seasoned Safety & Technical Repair Trainer to elevate our team’s expertise and ensure top-tier performance in vessel safety and maintenance operations. 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging safety training sessions covering OSHA, EPA, and marina-specific protocols.
  • Deliver hands-on technical instruction for marine engine systems, electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, and vessel safety gear.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials: manuals, checklists, video tutorials.
  • Assess trainee performance; certify safety compliance and technical proficiency.
  • Perform regular safety audits of marina areas, docks, and equipment.
  • Respond to technical inquiries, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate service.
  • Update training content to reflect regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

 

Qualifications

  •  High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 3+ years in marina operations, marine repair, or vessel maintenance.
  • Proven experience training or mentoring staff in technical or safety disciplines.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and safety gear.
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA spill protocols, and marine environmental compliance.
  • Certifications like ABYC, USCG, or OSHA a strong plus.
  • Valid driver’s license; boat operation certification preferred.
