Summary
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of City parks, grounds, buildings, athletic fields, and related facilities. This role ensures the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of recreational areas, supporting a positive experience for the public.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting, training and supervising lower level Parkkeepers as necessary.
Perform tree maintenance and removal, and plant replacement trees when needed.
Operate tractors with mower attachments, including one-ton trucks with trailer, riding mower, edger, line trimmer, backpack blower, and push lawnmower.
Collect litter and debris from parks, grounds, buildings, and athletic fields; ensure proper disposal.
Service, maintain and clean all equipment and tools used.
Clean and prepare shelters or pavilions for reservations.
Assist in the set up and tear down of special events.
Adhere to City safety policies and procedures during all activities.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
2 Years of relevant experience.
Valid Class C Texas driver’s license, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Majority of work performed outdoors with exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. May be exposed to extremes in temperature, humidity, insects, odors, and fumes. Tasks require physical exertion, including bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
