As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access, observe for policy violations, and report security-related concerns in accordance with site expectations.
• Support daily operations by completing routine reports, maintaining awareness of surroundings, and assisting with directional information and general inquiries from employees, visitors, and/or contractors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
