Senior Director, Product Quality

DroneUp is seeking a Sr. Director, Product Quality to ensure that our commercial products and solutions meet the highest standards of quality and excellence. You will use your extensive experience in process improvement, optimization, and transformation to identify and eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. You will lead complex process and organizational transformation efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex processes into clear, understandable, and actionable steps. Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial product quality and tooling teams, coach and mentor team members to achieve their full potential
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to refine current business strategies or develop new strategies in line with competitors and the market
• Manage risk, identify gaps, and implement strategies to improve our products and processes
• Lead quality audits to identify areas of improvement and support enterprise initiatives
• Establish and monitor metrics to track the effectiveness of quality processes and systems
• Provide executive-level reporting on quality and strategic metrics, risks, and trends and real time reporting, including a Product Quality Balanced Scorecard
• Build a culture of quality across the organization
• Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system that meets ISO 9001 and other applicable industry standards, including CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) program
• Apply lean six sigma methodology to deliver consistent incremental improvements
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field; advanced degree preferred
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and/or other relevant certifications (e.g., CSSBB, CSM, PMP)
• Extensive experience in process improvement, optimization, and transformation
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and other applicable industry standards
• Experience in compliance and risk management, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements
• Proven experience leading complex process and organizational transformation efforts with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with executive-level stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team members to achieve their full potential
• Experience in the drone industry or a related field preferred
• Experience utilizing and building compliant, quality, and scalable solutions in the Atlassian Stack with automation and reporting
• Understanding of Product, Execution, and Delivery (Idea to Delivery) in measuring quality, traceability, and executive reporting
• Experience administering QMS tools
