Pharmacy Tech, Production Floor

Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Pharmacy Technician, Production Floor, is to assist the pharmacist in the fulfillment of prescription orders.  

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Accurately fill prescription orders that are not filled through automation. 

• Pack prescription orders along with their paperwork outputs in envelopes, boxes, or coolers with ice. 

• Assist in the replenishment and maintenance of the automated dispensing process. 

• Assist with putting purchase orders away to shelf. 

• Assist in pulling expired medications for return to a reverse distributor. 

• Assist with inventory cycle counts and adjustments. 

• Maintain clean workstations and production floor area. 

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Capability to efficiently complete tasks in a fast-paced environment 

• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 10 pounds 

• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays in alignment with departmental and industry demands  

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED 

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with applicable State Board of Pharmacy 

• Demonstrated pharmacy experience 

Preferred Skill/Abilities:  

• Prior experience in Retail, Mail Order of Specialty Pharmacy is preferred. 

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:  

• Production/warehouse environment, with exposure to some noise and machinery. 

• Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.  Ability to lift, pull, push containers up to 10 pounds
