The opportunity
You will play a key role in defining the way private equity and PE Fund of Fund General Partner (GP) meet their fund controllership, investment books and records, regulatory, tax, and financial statement reporting requirements. Top-tier GPs and investment managers are increasingly looking to EY to provide operational services for critical functions, in parallel with their current custodians. Join our team in building a new service and identifying innovative ways for GPs to manage books and records, as well as timely fund financial statements.
Your key responsibilities
- Understand the intricacies of private equity and PE Fund-of-Fund investment operations and financial statement reporting
- Define new procedures and controls to enhance the overall operational risk process
- Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and budget
- Stay current on business and industry trends relevant to our clients, including the latest private equity fund structures and investment record keeping standards
- Manage a team of senior analysts to drive execution and provide high-quality work within expected timeframes and budget
- Review team’s work products and provide necessary coaching for improvement
- Ability to execute detailed procedures based on knowledge of PE fund controllership, investment books and records, and/or financial reporting processes
- Perform critical accounting activities, including capital calls, valuations, and transaction processing
- Manage risks and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
- Oversee delivery of client and process requirements in a regulatory driven environment, and understanding operationally complex fund controllership principles
- Develop relationships with team members across multiple geographic locations and time zones
