Job Description

General Summary of Position Responsibility:        

The Enterprise Identity Access Director is responsible for the overall vision and strategy of the Identity Access Management (IAM) Program across the medical center. This role directs the planning, implementation, development, and operations of the overall IAM team, processes, architecture, tools, and technology. This role leads and expertly guides internal teams, third party resources, and managed services providers.

Essential Job Functions:

Area Specific Job Accountabilities:

  • Create and execute on a strategic, multi-year roadmap for IAM, including governance and oversight.

  • Acquire and manage the necessary resources to support all IAM functions, including leadership support, financial resources, and key security personnel to support Information Security goals, and reduce overall organizational risk.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of risk and change management, security policies and controls, user account life-cycle management, roles-based access, access management, and directory services, including a deep understanding of industry best practice.

  • Align IAM priorities with the organization’s strategic goals and drive IAM strategy.

  • Plan and manage IAM budgets and forecasts as well as reporting dashboards that align with service delivery guidelines.

  • Oversee identification of opportunities to enhance performance (productivity and efficiency) of the IAM program (people, process, and technology) and reduce costs.

  • Work with enterprise architecture, information security, technical delivery, and applications teams to ensure that there is a convergence of business, technical, and security requirements for IAM solutions design and service delivery.

  • Monitor the design and deployment of IAM technologies, solutions, and service delivery processes and expertly direct and influence IAM benefits for other Information Management and organizational projects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, SKILLS, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or commensurate work experience at the discretion of the Chief Information Security Officer.

  • At least 10 years of user authentication and access experience in a complex environment, With Healthcare IAM experience preferred.

  • At least 5 years of experience deploying and running Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) IGA tools (e.g., Sailpoint, Saviynt). PAM (eg. CyberArk, Thycotic) and/or DAG (eg. Varonis) experience a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex IT projects on time and within budget, with experience with MS Project preferred.

  • Goal oriented with the ability to independently achieve desired results utilizing both internal and external resources.

  • Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods. Ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.

  • Understanding of the rationale behind necessity to continually learn and grow and the ability to seek performance feedback and identify approaches to improve own performance and that of others.

  • Familiarity and experience with relevant regulatory obligations and reporting bodies.

$141,440.00-$233,376.00 Salary
