Our mission is to help businesses of all sizes scale and grow while preserving their unique identity and spirit.</p><p> </p><p>We're looking for a <strong>QA Engineer with strong automation skills</strong> to join our talented product team. You’ll be stepping into a mature, actively developed project where testing is a critical part of the development lifecycle. Your primary focus will be maintaining, expanding, and optimizing our <strong>Cypress-based test suite</strong>, which already includes <strong>3,000+ tests across 70+ scenarios</strong>.</p><p></p><p><strong>What You’ll Work On</strong></p><p>Our platform is composed of two core components:</p><ul> <li> <strong>Checkout Widget</strong> – Enables users to book tickets online for global attractions </li> <li> <strong>Ticket Management Module</strong> – A back-office tool for managing tickets and bookings (currently under active development) </li> </ul><p>You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure features meet business requirements, are thoroughly tested, and deliver a smooth, intuitive user experience.<br/><br/><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Expand and maintain the Cypress end-to-end test suite.</li> <li>Integrate tests into our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.</li> <li>Review and adjust tests based on new features, bug reports, and production issues.</li> <li>Perform manual testing as needed (especially for newly added features and bugfix verification. Based on that, you’ll adjust or create automated tests).</li> <li>Think critically about features – spot inconsistencies, raise concerns, and propose improvements.</li> <li>Collaborate with developers to debug issues and ensure test reliability. </li> <li>Champion quality and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.</li> <li>A solid understanding of programming is required, as you’ll often need to work directly with the codebase or adjust CI workflows to ensure smooth test execution and reporting.</li> </ul><p></p><p>Since you’ll be the last person to sign off on features before production, we also expect <strong>product thinking</strong> – checking if the implementation makes sense, spotting missing requirements, and asking the right questions. </p><p>At Ventrata, we believe that <strong>the more questions you ask, the better</strong> – we’re aiming for long-term <strong>quality and stability</strong>. If something feels off to you or doesn’t quite make sense, chances are it will feel the same to our end users. You’ll be working with a team of experienced developers who understand the value of testing and are always ready to help – you won’t be left on your own.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li>Understanding of programming fundamentals (preferably JavaScript/TypeScript).</li> <li>Experience with <strong>Cypress.</strong> </li> <li>Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (we use <strong>Svelte</strong>).</li> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>CI/CD tools</strong> – ideally GitHub Actions.</li> <li>Comfortable reading and navigating codebases.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and a mindset for product quality.</li> <li>A proactive communicator who asks questions and challenges assumptions.</li> <li>Fluent in English (written and spoken).</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>We are fairly informal about working hours.
