Corporate Royalties Intern

 

Over the course of 11 weeks, a select group of college and university students will join us, gaining valuable work experiences and insights into our most exciting products. Interns engage with Hasbro’s beloved brands, gaining meaningful work-experience through day-to-day training, hands-on projects, executive exposure, individual development planning, and mentorship.

 

• Our program runs between June 9 - August 22, 2025.

We have an opening for a summer undergraduate intern on our Corporate Royalties team which is responsible for the royalty income and expense processes around the globe. Major responsibilities for this role include:

 

What you’ll do:

• Assist in tracking royalty revenue and ensuring accurate reporting under ASC 606.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and participate in month-end close activities as part of the overall financial close process.
• Conduct detailed reviews of customer contracts and apply ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance to royalty transactions.
• Assist in tracking licensee payments, monitoring guarantees, and following up on past-due accounts.
• Help prepare documentation and provide support for external audits related to financial close.
• Collaborate with business operations and finance teams to align royalty reporting with company needs.
• Participate in Royalty Transformation Initiatives aimed at improving systems, processes, and the accounting structure of the royalties department.
• Work on process improvement projects to enhance efficiency in royalty accounting.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects as needed.

What you’ll bring:

• Pursuing a degree in finance, accounting or related field

• Must be available to work full-time, hybrid during the summer of 2025 in our corporate headquarters in Pawtucket, RI.
• Technologically savvy with advance excel skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once
• Strong inter-personal skills
• Ability to recognize relevant facts for process documentation and ask thoughtful and important questions
• Finance and business curiosity and detail oriented
