About the role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

The Chief of Staff, Production is the glue between the SVP of Production, the leadership team, and the rest of Anduril. This means proactively designing, building, and running the structures, processes, content & communications, etc. by which the SVP of Production and the Production Leadership team interface cross-functionally both inside the Production organization and outside across all of Anduril. Consider yourself down and in (within the org), but also up and out (across the company).

What You Will Do:

  1. Support SVP and LT to maintain a pulse across the business and identify how the Production organization will support the evolving needs of the business
    1. Thought partner on all operational decisions for the organization
    2. Capturing and prioritizing the “information overload” that is always flooding towards the SVP of Production and the Production Leadership team - triage inbound comms and proactively identify high-priority areas where the Production Leadership Team should engage if they are not already
  2. Content creation to communicate new ideas to the organization
    1. Building presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), all-hands presentations, etc.
  3. Run weekly Leadership meetings with SVP and leadership team
  4. Own and drive comms both internally and externally from the Production Leadership team
    1. Ghost writing communication to Production department slack channels, email distros, etc.
    2. Build and execute departmental communications strategies and rollouts
  5. External engagement - lead high-priority and VIP events, engagements, and workshops for the Production Organization (i.e. customer visits, investor visits, software offsites)
  6. Build and drive governance structures and processes for Production
    1. Coordinate Production representation in product development lifecycle meetings across products (CDR, MRR, PDR, etc.)
    2. Collect, track, and drive follow-up on actions coming out of these meetings, project oversight meetings, etc.
  7. Coordinating department events
    1. End-to-end owning department events like all-hands, summits, etc. (Establishing agendas, curating and creating content, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in some or all the following areas:
    • Technical or operational experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or similar hardware manufacturing industries
    • Cross-functional strategic roles (Chief of Staff, BizOps, Strategy & Ops, etc.) or experience in management consulting, investment banking, or similar strategic functions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science or Engineering field or equivalent practical experience preferred
  • Previous success as a Chief of Staff supporting Executives a plus
  • MBA or similar graduate degree a plus
  • You are extraordinarily diligent - this role is going to throw a lot at you, at all times. You need to be able to intake, track, and follow up across numerous threads at one time - with velocity.
  • You need to be comfortable with ambiguity, bringing structure and clarity to what may be broad or high-level asks - taking vision-level commander’s intent, and translating to a tactical plan that you then deliver - often while being self-driven or with little oversight. Again, this should excite you!
  • You need to be self-driven and relentlessly proactive. You don’t need someone to tell you to “move”. You just move. We’d rather have to tell you to slow down than to speed up.
  • You can’t wait on others to solve problems. You proactively step into the gap to offer solutions yourself.
  • You need to be comfortable communicating broadly and having a lot of eyes on your work. This role will require comms to large groups and senior leadership. T
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance
