Position Summary

Under discerning leadership, the Process Improvement Director will lead strategically aligned projects and initiatives that optimize our operational processes and enhance overall business efficiency. In this role, you will architect and implement innovative process improvement projects and strategies that align with our organization's vision and goals, driving transformational change across various departments and stakeholders. The Process Improvement Director assumes responsibility for meticulous project tracking and analysis, ensuring milestones align with established timelines. With a commitment to uncompromising quality, this role rigorously reviews project deliverables, maintaining strict adherence to industry standards.
Position Specific Responsibilities
- • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive process improvement strategies and projects that promote efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organization.
• Analyze existing processes to identify areas for improvement, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process changes, ensuring alignment with business objectives, priorities, and stakeholder requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to engage employees in process improvement initiatives and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process changes and track project success over time.
• Provide leadership and process improvement mentorship to Compassus colleagues, fostering an environment of innovation and accountability.
• Ensures that all project requests are aligned with Compassus goals and strategic plan.
• Coordinates project efforts and activities to achieve agreed timelines and budgets. Responsible for moving the status of projects forward to ensure deadlines are met, both via direct management of individual workstreams and orchestration of separate workstream driven by functional leaders or additional EPMO project managers.
• Understands and coordinates activities with and between multiple internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Leads and facilitates organizational change management associated with all projects and process improvement activities. Partners with business leaders, HR, and Learning to set and maintain focus on the business context for change and to plan and execute detailed change management activities.
• Produces accurate and complete project documentation including but not limited to: Requirements definition, scope documents, statements of work, project schedules, communication plan, staffing plans and requests, status reports, issue logs, cost estimates and project budgets.
• Develop and owns project plans during implementations, prepare for and organize routine implementation status meetings, holds project sponsors, drivers and contributors accountable for timely delivery of action items, manages meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
• Creates status reports with business and relevant updates for executive presentations.
• Attends and presents at executive meetings.
• Proactively identifies risks, issues, and dependencies for cross-functional projects, including health system joint venture integrations; then proposes solutions and/or organizes problem solving process with relevant subject matter experts to reach quick resolution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelors degree required (business, healthcare administration, or related field)
- 10+ years of experience in business process management, operations management, or related fields, with a proven track record of driving process improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of process mapping and modeling tools, as well as methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
- Project Management experience required
- Experience in health care is preferred.
- Experience leading process transformation initiatives in a large or complex organization preferred.
Skills
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
