As a Senior Accountant, you will also liaise with external organizations and authorities, including external auditors, and will analyze all accounting records and ensure financial data is reliable and gives a true and fair view of the financial position.</p><p>This role is mostly operational so we are looking for a “hands-on” candidate that, although is independent, will report to the Accounting Manager, as well as support with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the finance department in Portugal.</p><ul><li>Full accounting of business.</li><li>Ensuring that daily accounting operations are done in accordance with the local legislation, IFRS and best practices.</li><li>Performing month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries. </li><li>Controlling and approving payments (payroll, invoices, taxes and other).</li><li>Liaising with Accounting Manager, particularly when coordinating efforts during the month end close.</li><li>Providing support during the audits and liaising with external auditors.</li><li>Preparation of VAT, CIT and fiscal returns &amp; supports the preparation of all required financial declarations/reports as requested by public and financial institutions.</li><li>Managing the accounting processes for the local entity including payroll processing and reporting into the consolidation system.</li><li>Ensuring that all internal controls are in place and monitoring ongoing adherence.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.</li><li>Chartered in the portuguese <em>Order</em> of Chartered <em>Accountants</em></li><li>At least 3 years of experience working as an Accountant.</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).</li><li>Excellent MS office skills.</li><li>Good accounting software skills.</li><li>Very good knowledge of tax &amp; labor code legislation.</li><li>The ability to set priorities and exercise flexibility where necessary.</li><li>Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work independently, commitment to learn and develop.</li><li>Punctuality and ability to meet deadlines.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>About Us</strong></p><p>Evolution is a market-leading developer and provider of products and services for online casino entertainment.
