The stated pay scale reflects the range as defined by the collective bargaining agreement between Sharp HealthCare and Sharp Professional Nurses Network, United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals, NUHHCE, AFSME, AFL-CIO. Placement within the range is based on years of RN experience.
Summary
The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) at Sharp Memorial Hospital is an intense and fast moving 24-bed unit. Our primary patient populations are cardiac surgical, major trauma and complex general surgical. We also provide care for a number of patients with a variety of different mechanical assist devices. We pride ourselves in being the best place to work, for patients to receive care and for physicians to bring their patients. The SICU achieved “Gold Beacon” status which is a designation conferred by the AACN to ICUs demonstrating clinical excellence. What You Will Do
To provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.

Full-time, 12-hour shift, night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; including every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of nursing school
- One year clinical experience
- California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Various-Employee provides certificate
Other Qualification Requirements
- NIHSS is required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year recent ICU RN clinical experience in an acute care setting
