As a per diem, non-exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician , you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedule:   This position works a minimum 4 hours per month and up to a maximum of 19 hours per week covering day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed. 

About the Facility: For nearly a quarter century, Huntsville Memorial Hospital, an 123-bed, CIHQ accredited hospital, has been making strides in setting the standard for quality, cost-effective health care in Walker County and surrounding communities. The services they provide include cardiac rehabilitation, expanded outpatient physical therapy, home care, sports medicine, and transitional care. They help bring these services directly into the community through health and wellness services at work-sites, civic presentations and health screenings. Their vision and purpose is to provide "benevolent and charitable" services for the "sick, infirm, and afflicted residents" of Walker County through the "establishment, maintenance, support, and operation of a hospital".  HMH is now expanding their facilities to better meet the new healthcare options and quality standards set in the healthcare industry today. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.  

About the Pharmacy: Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am-8:00pm and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 7:30am-4:00pm. The pharmacy utilizes Pyxis ES and MedHost.  

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
• Texas Pharmacy Technician License required
• Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
• Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements:

• (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
• Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
• Hepatitis B3 Series or declination
• (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
• COVID vaccine
